دعوة للتحقيق في جـرائم حرب بدارفور

دعت منظمة حقوقية دولية أمس الثلاثاء محكمة العدل الدولية الى التحقيق في «جرائم حرب» مرتكبة في إقليم دارفور.

وأفادت هيومن رايتس ووتش أن «عدة آلاف من مقاتلي الدعم السريع» وحلفاء لها هاجموا أواخر مايو/أيار بلدة مستري بإقليم دارفور.

An international human rights organization called on Tuesday for the International Court of Justice to investigate “war crimes” committed in the Darfur region.

Human Rights Watch reported that “several thousand Rapid Support Forces” and its allies attacked the town of Misteri, in Darfur, in late May.

وأوضحت في تقرير مطوّل أن هؤلاء حاصروا البلدة التي يقدر عدد سكانها بزهاء 46 ألف نسمة باستخدام «دراجات نارية وخيول وشاحنات بيك-أب»، وأطلقوا النار على «الذين حاولوا الفرار».

In a lengthy report, she explained that they besieged the town, which has an estimated population of 46,000, using “motorcycles, horses and pick-up trucks,” and opened fire on “those who tried to flee.”
