معسكرات الإيواء في الأبيض تحتاج تدخلات عاجلة

Shelter camps in Al-Obeid need urgent interventions

أكد مسؤول بولاية شمال كردفان– وسط السودان، أهمية التدخلات العاجلة لمعسكرات الإيواء في مدينة الأبيض خاصةً المواد الغذائية ومواد الإيواء.

وشهدت أحياء في الأبيض قتالاً عنيفاً بين الجيش ومليشيا الدعم السريع خلال الأيام الماضية، استخدمت فيه الأسلحة الثقيلة والخفيفة ما أدى لسقوط عدد من القتلى والمصابين، ودمار عدد من المنازل والمرافق.

وتدور معارك ضارية بين الطرفين بالعاصمة الخرطوم ومناطق أخرى بكردفان ودارفور منذ 15 ابريل الماضي، بعد تفاقم الخلافات بين قائدي القوتين المتقاتلين، ما أدى لسقوط قرابة الـ9 آلاف قتيل وآلاف الجرحى، فضلاً عن أكثر من 5 ملايين نازح ولاجئ.

An official in North Kordofan State, central Sudan, stressed the importance of urgent interventions for shelter camps in the city of El Obeid, especially food and shelter materials.

Neighborhoods in Al-Obeid witnessed violent fighting between the army and the Rapid Support militia during the past days, in which heavy and light weapons were used, which led to a number of deaths and injuries, and the destruction of a number of homes and facilities.

Fierce battles have been taking place between the two parties in the capital, Khartoum, and other areas in Kordofan and Darfur since last April 15, after the escalation of differences between the leaders of the two warring forces, which led to the death of nearly 9,000 people and thousands of wounded, in addition to more than 5 million displaced people and refugees.

ونقلت وكالة السودان للأنباء عن مفوض العون الإنساني بولاية شمال كردفان طارق أمين أبو البشر يوم الجمعة، قوله إن معسكرات الإيواء تعاني من نقص في المواد الغذائية، الدعم الغذائي ومواد الإيواء.

ولفت إلى أن المنظمات فرغت من إعداد المسح القاعدي لمعرفة الاحتياجات الخاصة بالمعسكرات لرفعها إلى رئاستها لتقديم الدعم.

وكشف أبو البشر عن وصول مواد إغاثة وكميات من الدقيق خلال الفترة القادمة، ونوه إلى جهود وزارة الصحة في التدخلات الصحية وخدمات المياه من قبل قطاع المياه وجهود بعض من المنظمات.

The Sudan News Agency quoted the Humanitarian Aid Commissioner in North Kordofan State, Tariq Amin Abu Al-Bishr, on Friday, saying that the shelter camps suffer from a shortage of food, food support and shelter materials.

He pointed out that the organizations have completed preparing a grassroots survey to determine the specific needs of the camps and submit them to their leadership to provide support.

Abu Al-Bishr revealed the arrival of relief materials and quantities of flour during the coming period, and noted the efforts of the Ministry of Health in health interventions and water services by the water sector and the efforts of some organizations.

وساد هدوء نسبي بمدينة الأبيض يومي الخميس والجمعة، فيما تصاعد عدد النازحين داخلياً في الأحياء الواقعة غرب المدينة، حيث لجأ معظمهم إلى المدارس الحكومية وآخرون إلى أقاربهم.

ومنذ الأربعاء تشهد المدينة انتشاراً كثيفاً لعناصر الجيش لرصد تحركات الدعم السريع، وسط مخاوف من تجدد الاشتباكات.

و منذ اندلاع الحرب في 15 ابريل الماضي باتت مدينة الأبيض إحدى مدن الاقتتال الرئيسية بين الجيش والدعم السريع.

Relative calm prevailed in the city of El Obeid on Thursday and Friday, while the number of internally displaced people increased in the neighborhoods west of the city, with most of them taking refuge in government schools and others with their relatives.

Since Wednesday, the city has witnessed a heavy deployment of army personnel to monitor rapid support movements, amid fears of renewed clashes.

Since the outbreak of the war on April 15, the city of El Obeid has become one of the main fighting cities between the army and the Rapid Support.
